Ashes should be double bagged and sealed in a box then sent via USPS Priority Mail, FedEx or UPS, whichever you choose needs to have a tracking number. I will send the printed panel along with the remaining ashes back to you via UPS.

This is entirely up to personal preference. If there's an incredibly meaningful photo, those tend to make really thoughtful pieces.
However, there are some general criteria that make excellent portraits:
• A clear view of the subject's face (not blurry, pixelated, or distorted)
• Eye-level angle (try to avoid photos where subject is looking upwards at the camera)
• Avoid harsh sunlight, particularly for shiny, black-furred subjects (which tend to reflect harsh sunlight)
• If you'd rather I choose, send me as many as you have and I'll take from there -
Flat-black offers the best photographic effect, but other options are available. We can discuss them once a piece is commissioned.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
My father passed away from Parkinson’s in 2012, leaving behind stories and ash. As a passionate artist, I had the idea of using his ash as pigment to create his portrait on a 40 x 60-inch wood canvas, titled 'Self Portrait,' which hangs in my studio. After years of contemplating, I now want to offer others the opportunity to see their loved ones through portraits, starting with pets as a logical choice.
